The faucet above is pretty standard in a lot of travel trailers and RVs. We didn’t think anything about it until we took our RPod out on the road the first time.
It looks just fine. It’s small and the sink is small, but that’s what we expected in a couple’s trailer. It’s just a little difficult to get your hands under because it barely hangs over the bowl of the sink.
It became more of a problem when it started to drip. My husband worked on it several times, but it continued to drip. And drip. And drip.
But still, it was only an issue when we were using the trailer and hooked up to water. After we sold our house in late August and moved into the RPod, the problem became more annoying. Out of curiosity, I left a 2 cup glass measuring cup under the faucet when we went to work. It was full and overflowing when we got home. That’s a lot of water!
My husband replaced the original faucet with the Hilliard 84537 by Moen. According to him, it was a pretty easy job. I’m pretty sure I took a nap until the end. We had a mini flood the first time we tried it, but after some quick trouble shooting, my husband figured it out and got it done.
It’s nice to be able to wash your hands easily because, you know, it just is. The best part? No more drips!
